NEW Gromit!
Gromit spent his first afternoon here lazing about our house. Outside it was raining. There were few cars driving by so counting games were out of the question.

We offered him a run around the back garden, but nothing seemed to cheer up the old chap...

...Until he spotted something my daughter was playing with!

My daughter suggested we play 'BAAH BAHH!' I agreed that a tea party was in order. Gromit sure does love that candle on the cupcake!

Yes, Gromit, what a fine bah bah indeed!

Update from Port Fairy!

Here are some. I plan to go to a couple of other places over the next two days but then I can send him on.

I am not sure which beach i was on but i can find out. It's either the east beach which is most likely it but then there is a south beach too. The river is the Moyne river in Port Fairy and the rocks pic is also in Port Fairy. It's western Victoria. I will have some more info about the place soon. along with whereever else i go.

Sea to Snow Tour!

Here they are! Fresh from my inbox, all the way from Australia, more photos of Gromit! Thank you to Max for all the effort he put into this!

"Here are the photos of Gromit.

Gromit braved the gusting wind and swirling rain to sit against a lone native Oak tree 25 meters above the surging water. They're pretty small against the cliffs. What a dramatic thought!

Frequently Asked Questions

I had a very good response originally. But Gromit was lost in his travels...and we have a new Gromit who wants to travel. People have asked loads of questions. I have answered the most frequent ones below.

Gromit is quite small. He's about 3/4 of a pound w/the packaging (just weighed him-metric conversions, he's less than 0.5 kg) & he's about 7 inches tall by 4 inches wide (or 18cm by 10cm).

Please share a little fact or point of interest about your town or area where your photos are taken. Gromit loves to learn!

You may give Gromit gifts. Please be sure that they are practical. He could use a new jumper and a solid pair of boots. He'll ask you what he would like. It might be a good idea to send a little gift with him for the next person who will share their travels with him!

Who Gromit would like to meet:

Local celebrities, rock stars, news presenters, dj's, radio presenters, goat herders, shepherds, children, schools, boyscouts or girlscouts, parents, and namely, YOU!

What Gromit would like to see/where he would like to travel:

Local landmarks, sunrises/sunsets on the horizon, mountain ranges/vallies, town celebrations, holiday celebrations, a birthday party, camping trip, a local play production, a movie, on a road trip, by the ocean, sea, lake, pond, river, waterfall, etc., in the desert, a sports game, or simply having tea with you!

I ask that you keep him for only one week before sending him on the rest of his travels. Please keep the photos clean & presentable for people of all ages.

Any other questions, feel free to ask! Thanks!

The Journey Begins...

Gromit told me he wanted to travel.

You have seen the photos of people taking pictures of a gnome, travelling the world (ala Amelie)...well Gromit wants to see the world!

If you are interested in helping Gromit travel, be sure that you have enough money for shipment of a small dog back onto another city, state, country or even back to the UK!

You can send the photos in digital format via email. Appropriate photos will be posted here. Anyone who is interested, email me!
